RE: Market misunderstands TOL
RE: Market misunderstands TOLAIGswap:
I'm very new to this space, and what you wrote about TOL sounds very interesting, but I need to become more knowledgeable before making an investment. I've got some questions for you:
1) This is a really basic question, but do you have any recommended links/reading material someone can use to get up to speed on this whole space? For instance, I'm not even clear on something really basic: is TOL a "shale oil", "shale gas", or "oil sand" company? What are the main similarities/differences between the follwing assets/technologies: conventional oil/gas, shale oil/gas, oil sand?
2) The main problem I see with these "junior E&P" companies that trade on the Venture exchange is that they seem to be constantly diluting existing shareholders by issuing new shares. Do you agree? What do you think is the likelihood of TOL continuting to dilute shareholders with ongoing issuance of new shares? In the material I read so far, I haven't seen any statement from management on this topic. Can they use debt or cash flow from operations to fund future growth opportunities, or is ongoing share issuance really the only option?
Thanks for you help,
