OPL...
can't see them selling it for $ 1 billion.. can you imagine what licensing and sales as well as royaltys could add up to over 20 years? I understand that a company would have to pay $45M to $80M just to produce the chip for sale... anyway managment knows the sector well and i don't see them short changing themselves on POET... this is a company maker for sure but they initially seemed quite eager to sell... i'd ask for the money in GOLD... lol.. or atleast canadian bucks.
I think OPL would sell for around $2.5B to $3.5 B .. if you think that's too high consider sales for 20 years... licensing and royalty payments.
The licensing more than covers the cost of production.. so this would be a huge moneymaker.
Management must keep the "pot on boil" which shouldn't be too hard.. the wonder chip is HUGE.. i think managment will look after their investors... and it took 30 years.. that's 30 years to develop POET!!!
Now.. if they do just sell POET they will be looking for top money... :)
