RE: RE: SonyI think what we're seeing here is the 'double dip' issue. Can't sue Sony AND their bluetooth chipset supplier (I believe for at least some of their products its Broadcom who already settled with Wi-Lan on a Eastern District of Texas cases).
This is more proof that the actual settlements coming out of all the agreements signed earlier in the year are WAY underestimated by the analysts and the market in general. The 'official' estimate of $500 million or so, is at least double if not triple that because the wireless settlements were on a portion of the patents the firms took licenses for.
This is also supported by my "average life of revenues" analysis that no one seemed to pay buy into.
