MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 22, 2011) - Glen Eagle Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GER) ("Glen Eagle" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the results of additional drill holes on the Authier Lithium project located near Val d'Or in Quebec.
Hole AL-11-15 was drilled in the center of the deposit below previous intervals and at a vertical depth of 125 m. This intercept confirms the presence of a high grade thick core also cut in hole AL-11-24 located 50 m to the west (see release dated March 2nd. 1.09% Li2O over 54 Meters). Hole AL-11-03 was drilled at the western end of the known deposit on the same section as hole AL-11-02 (March 2nd: 1.08 % Li2O over 4.5 m) but 50 m above the latter with grades improving towards surface. Hole AL-11-05 was drilled along the western extension of the known deposit. The results indicate that the deposit extends further west than previously observed. The pegmatite appears to flatten and dips are approximately 30 degrees north. Holes AL-11-07 and AL-11-08 were drilled on the same section and 50 m west of hole AL-11-02 in an area of the deposit not previously tested.
*The width is approximately the true width of the pegmatite.
As additional core samples from the remaining drill holes are assayed, the Company will release results as they are made available by the laboratory throughout the month of March and April.
About the method of analysis:
The samples were prepared at the company's facility under the supervision of the field geologist by sawing the NQ core in two halves. One half of the core was bagged, tagged and sealed and delivered to AGAT Laboratories in Sudbury, ON for sample preparation and to AGAT Laboratories main laboratory in Mississauga, ON. The other half is kept for record. The samples were analyzed for Lithium using AGAT Laboratories' peroxide fusion method (AGAT Analysis Code 201079) and ICP-OES analysis which consists of a specialized fusion technique and an assay range of 0.01 to 25% Li. AGAT Laboratories' Mining Division is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 and CAN-P-1579 by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). AGAT Laboratories internal quality control procedures include the regular analysis of replicate samples, reference materials and reference blanks.
The company has also implemented its own QC/QA program for quality control. The company is using two analytical standards, a high and a low standard, duplicates and blanks. One standard and one blank sample are inserted for every 20 samples and a duplicate for every 20 samples will be sent to a second accredited laboratory for analysis.
Gilles Laverdière, P.Geo., a qualified person according to the NI 43-101 disclosing standards, is supervising the drilling program and has reviewed and approved the technical content presented herein.
