RE: what is the significance of a cross?Very often a cross will indicate that someone is taking a position.If the price is run down and a cross then occurs this is usualy a very bullish sign that something is up.The size of the cross counts for alot as well.It is looked on as a positive sign that someone is willing to spend a large amount of cash and anyone willing to spend a large amount of money would only do so if they had a very good reason to expect a return on their investment.
What you have to watch is a broker house may do a cross and its only purpose is trying to make the stock look good. It costs the house very little to do this- 14.00 I have been told but do not know if this is accurate or not.
