Americas Petrogas Inc. through its subsidiary GrowMax AgriCorp Inc.is exploring and developing a brine potash project in Peru. The concession is located adjacent to the Pacific Ocean in Northern Peru and covers an area of approximately 84,000 hectares (202,000 acres). In 2009, IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited) became a Strategic 20% interest Investor Partner by investing directly into GrowMax. IFFCO also invested into Americas Petrogas by acquiring a 10% of the outstanding shares of Americas Petrogas.
