I also see Farhad's card-playing abilities this way -

This 'partnership' with IFC comes at a time where another big money player is now into the game - possibly to keep BHP (or other significant 'other') at an acquiring distance AND to prevent another Canpotex cartel issue.

That is, having the World Bank group involved for longer-term debt financing (assuming mine production) creates a stumbling block for a BHP takeover (or Vale et al).  It opens a lot of client/financing doors for product sales - China, India, Europe, North America, etc.

Farhad, to me, is a genius, IF this was his intent.

The immediate focus is NOW on Ethiopia (Allana, in particular).
