RE: RE: Silvermex vs ECU Comparison
RE: RE: Silvermex vs ECU ComparisonI suspect that Mouse's "in depth knowledge" of ECU operation may be questionable...
It has been stated that production will be expanding this year, and that at current PM prices they are cash-flow positive, so much so that they have restarted drilling on 3 properties. Also, that they are not mining measured reserves but inferred, and are finding (to date) the real ore values to be about double the amount that has been inferred, although this has not been documented under 43-101 report.
I'm aware that this is not a topic for the SLX board, but I don't think that some statements should go unchallenged. People wanting more info on ECU should go to the web-site, not believe hearsay on a BB.
I believe that all good mine management teams (including SLX) must watch their bottom lines very closely to get the biggest bang for the buck without going back to the bank . I think that at the current metal prices, both SLX and ECU will be able to grow and document their increasing resources effectively.
But, both these plays, imho, are more about leveraging a huge in-ground silver/gold resource to the market's rising metal prices. Production, at this point in time is just a way to pay for the next drill. Value is shown by the ratio of each company's "in-ground silver ounces per share" to the "silver price per ounce". Both these companies are VALUE leaders imo. That's why I own them. ECU is my second largest holding. SLX is third or fourth.
