RE: You work in the industry do you?

RE: You work in the industry do you?1/2 day vac...other half medical....dentist at 2.

I teach workers how to operate a nuclear plant.  In the past I ran the unit, although not for long, them went on days to teach.  23 years in the business...I have seen a lot of politics reguarding builds since the 70s.

Tokyos mistake was that within 40 mins of losing their emergency backup power, they should have thrown in the towel and switched to seawater....everything would have been avoided, and I am speculating their proceedures stated this plan of action, as ours does....but they did not follow this path of conservative safety first...due to huge economic consequences of colling via sea water.

I look forward to rear the final version of the accident a year or 2 from now.  It took years before the russians gave a final version of the truth, of what happened to their unit.

In north america...we would not have acted in the same manner of recklessness following a loss of emergency power.

The last pathetic screwup here was three mile island....lessons were learned, and the bar was raised.  tepco however have been in this for the $$ and falsifying tests, and maintenance results.  It was going to happen at the first sign of tragedy....they were not, and are still not prepared.  The usa and canada have a much better track record, and transparency to dailly operations.
