Listric faulting is good for an oil/gas show?

a la wikipedia, the colossus of all geologic knowledge...

"Listric fault

A listric fault is a type of normal fault in which fault plane iscurved. The dip of the fault plane becomes shallower with increaseddepth."

Yep, just as I thought...not a hell of a lot there to hang one's petroleum geologist's hat upon, is there? Everywhere in the world a mountain has risen, a valley has fallen, a Nordic Jotun has farted or a Cyclops has blindly tripped and fallen, there has resulted at least one "listric fault".

I suppose the next REV oil/gas drill target will be the Grecian Isles of Homeric Lore?
