Some light reading …
Some light reading …... For those who don’t know.
You should elect to perform your own due diligence.
Mr. Patrick Smith was a Senior Vice President of Systems Integration and Technology Planning at Sprint. Mr. Smith retired from the firm in 2001, working for the company's information technology division for seven years. There, he worked in concert with the Senior Vice President for Network Design and Planning and was responsible for company-wide technical architecture decisions. Mr. Smith led the team responsible for the development of the One Sprint program. He provided ... the technology vision and leadership for Sprint's entry into the Managed Services business.
Prior to joining Sprint, Mr. Smith was the Chief Technology Officer at Comdisco, and from 1983 to 1994, the Chief Technology Officer at SHL, Systemhouse Inc. He began his working career as a Lecturer in Computer Science and a Member Director of the Technical Staff between 1969 and 1983 at the Universities of Waterloo and Manitoba.
Mr. Smith is currently the Chairman of Natural Convergence Inc. He currently sits on the Executive Board at Convedia, March Networks, Ubiquity, Valaran, Wavesat, and is the Chairman of the Advisory Board at Wesley Clover Corporation, Mitel, and Newport Networks.
Mr. Smith previously represented Sprint U.S.A. on the Sprint Canada Executive Board for four years. He was also a Director at Call-Net Enterprises and ImagicTV Inc. Mr. Smith is the author of a commercially successful book Client Server Computing, published in 1994 and updated and republished in 1996 on the subject of migration from centralized computing to distribute computing. He holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science.
Comment: One could view the appointment of Mr. Patrick N. Smith to ‘Chairman of the Board’ for the Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc/Aperto Networks enterprise as being an interesting development.A newly appointed Chairman of the board of directors invariably hints at yet does not guarantee a newly selected phase and cycle, if you will.
Alas, given what common “peasant class” Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. shareholders have been subjected to under the leadership of Mr. James A. Tocher as Chairman of the Board of Directors, one expects that Mr. Patrick N. Smith would be bringing along with him some ideas.
One of such ideas being the supporting of a plan which would serve in seeking to attain, on behalf of the common "peasant class" shareholders of this Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc/Aperto Networks enterprise, a perhaps all too 'brief reprieve' for those who have thus far been (overall unimpressively) operating this particular equities issuing investment vehicle.
To be clear, one does retain a great appreciation for Mr. Smith’s professional accomplishments and, most especially, the very professional affiliations which Mr. Patrick N. Smith has managed to develop and thus far maintain.
