The Company’s primary customers are in the upstream petroleum sector (oil production and drilling companies) and downstream petroleum sector (oil refinery, transportation and distribution companies). 8 Contracts awardedRIYADH: The Presidency of Meteorology and Environment has signedeight contracts worth SR700 million to rehabilitate areas in theKingdom affected by the 1991 Gulf War. The rehabilitation program ispartly funded by the United Nations, which gave $45 million (about SR170million).
The Saudi government, Al-Qahtani confirms, is now working to signcontracts with a number of international companies to rehabilitate theenvironment and damaged areas under the supervision of the UN.
