RE: RE: RE: Block Trades

RE: RE: RE: Block TradesWell we have two very important things to sink our teeth into.  We have earnings in 2012 of $7.00 as an absolute minimum from forward contracts and most likely $10.00 or more if DP prices stay above $1,600 per tonne (currently at $2,600/ton).  We also have Fortress Management working on acquisitions and expansion that the CEO has indicated could drive the price to $300 per share by the end of 2012.

Now you can say what you want about whether a CEO should make comments like that and then dismiss them for it, but the fact is, he did make the comment and I have not known him to be an idiot.  So whether these deals will drive the price of FTP to $300 or not is not nearly as important as the fact that even if they don't, they should definitely drive the price above $100.  The CEO is just not that stupid to miss the mark by that much (I bet he doesn't miss it at all with the $300 price, but I need to see the deals first) and these deals could be announced on any given trading day.

These points are what keeps me buying at these levels.  It is just too bad that the majority of investors do not read these boards.  I don't know what most investors do but I doubt much of it would be classified as concrete research.
