RE: RE: SMF short position anyone?

RE: RE: SMF short position anyone?Maxhedge:

I'm exactly like you and share your view completely.  SMF is an investment and if an investment stops producing or started losing it's our job to make sure we protect our capital.  I know it's frustration to get squeezed everyday, but enough is enough and you just have to pull up tent and move on.

We know there are essentially four elements to move a stock's SP:

1.  good prospects (a major find, or more reserves added) - we had that announcement on Mana not that long ago and the shorts pounded our SP just to show us they can do whatever they wanted.  For Christ sake.

2.  good earnings - we had record profit in 2010 and that did nothing to help our SP.

3.  great commodity price - the price of gold is at record level now and yet that fail to move our SP.  In fact most gold stocks failed to benefit from the record gold prices.

4.  a buy out - that would "nuke" everything and the shorts in particular.  Look like this the final trump card.

So far three had failed and only the last one left.

Should we all drop down on our knees and pray for a buy out (I'm the first to admit the chances of that happening is less than a lottery jackpot win)?  LOL
