RE: It's almost criminal....FOX, U've got some perspective. Very good. And I learned a lot from U. Thanks.
However, there're always some GREY AREA, not completely black and not completely white either. What you critisized - MM behavior - might fall into this category. This is true in the investment game, and espeiciallly true in VENTURE INVESTMENT - THAT IS THE LIFE.
Further, according to evolution theory, only those, who are suitable for this environment (market), can survive (and win in the market). Weak hands have two way to go - about 10% of them will survive, learn and gradually become strong hands, about 90% of therm will dIe, or more precisely, be kicked out of the game. This sounds very relentless and cruel, but again, THAT IS THE LIFE. GOOD WILL CAN NOT CHANGE THE REAL PROCESS. PERIOD.
I have to admit that -
1). In my 15y venture investment practice in N.Am, most of time, I was a weak hands, failed again and again. Fortunately, I am not a guy who can not aford failure for 3 or 5 times. I just kept trying, until I learned some of the game, survived, then may find a chance to get some real return.
2). Just a few days ago, I sold my trade position (100,000 shares of INT, in 2 batch) at 0.41, because I believed I could buy them back at 0.36 on the same day. But -----, a few minutes later, I found I was wrong!!! All of my 100k shares was absorbed by MM immediately!!!!! THEY EVEN NEVER SHOW up ON L2 QUOTES! I then learnt that - "BOY, I MADE A BIG MISTAKE!!!" Yesterday, I have to buy them back at 0.63. This time I carefullly buy them in a deep and got a not too bad price. Fortunately, my core holding (more than trading part generally, and also in this case) were not touched.
So, what I want to say is only that -
THIS IS A GAME. INVESTMENT TACTICS NOT ONLY INCLUDE Fundamenatl Analysis, Technical Analysis, BUT ALSO include PSYCHOLOGICAL PLAY!!! Who does not have a strong stomach have to be kicked out of the game!!!
Hence, let us face the real world and real world.
BTW, I am old (retired 2 y ago as a scientist in pharmaceutical industry) and DRUNKEN, so don't take my words too seriously. Thanks.
Best Wishes!
