Gennum buys the Bristol BridgeWell, it will be interesting to see what GND is paying for Nano. I doubt those two venture capital firm owners gave it up cheap. Either a huge price or it would have been in desperate financial straits.
Somehow I doubt this is going to be accretive to earnings in 2011. If Nano were making money I'd think, in this market, it would have opted to go public. So this is probably going to make Gennum's earnings head south in a hurry--though I'm happy to be proved wrong.
This'll be great for the Gennum board of directors. When they go to visit the Nano facilities they'll be able to stop off in London and maybe take in a few shows. Perhaps they could tour the Lake District, visit Shakespeare's home. I mean there's just so much to do on business in the UK. Then they can have a couple of quick board meetings to pay for the whole thing. Oh no, wait. It'll be paid for even without the board meetings.
