For those who complain about anonymous

For those who complain about anonymousThis was emailed to me.  Can't clarify but those who are more in the know might have better knowledge or understanding how it works.

The TSX allows brokers (for a fee) to hide their broker number. The broker number shows up as Anonymous.

So why would a broker want to hide their broker number?

Institutional investors (ie Sprott, etc) will sometimes want to hide their intentions.
For example, say Sprott was trying to accumulated a position in a stock,
If Sprott as a savvy investor starts to accumulate, other investors might jump in driving up the stock, and the cost for Sprott.
By hiding their broker number, Sprott could accumulate without other investors driving the stock price higher.

The TSX for a fee (about $1,000 per month), will show who 01 anonymous is.

Once again the Institutional investors have an advantage.
