TAMERLANE CONTINUES TO ADVANCE ITS PINE POINT LEAD-ZINC PROJECT INTO PRODUCTION
TamerlaneVentures Inc. has engaged two well-known engineering companies toassist in the advancement of its Pine Point lead-zinc project in theNorthwest Territories into production. These companies will beaddressing key elements of the preconstruction engineering.
Thecompany is pleased to announce that it is currently working with AECOM.This firm is a well-known global provider of professional technical andmanagement support services to a broad range of markets, and is aconsistent leader in industry rankings for a variety of design services.AECOM is undertaking the surface geotechnical work at Pine Point.
Theirproject involvement will pertain to subsurface soil and groundwaterconditions, site and subgrade preparation, excavations and backfilling,pavement structure, frost penetration, and the designs for all concretefoundations for the facilities to be built at Pine Point. Crews havebeen mobilized to the site and are currently performing geotechnicaldrilling at the proposed building locations.
Tamerlane is alsopleased to have signed a contract with AMC Mining Consultants (Canada)Ltd., a leading mining consultancy that has provided services to theminerals sector in over 100 countries since 1983. AMC will be overseeingaspects of geotechnical drilling of the R-190 deposit. Based on theiranalysis of drill core and results of associated laboratory testwork,AMC will provide recommendations for access development and stope designparameters (including sequencing extraction and backfilling). They willalso recommend ground support requirements for the undergroundworkings. AMC's activities will contribute to Tamerlane's finalizing allmining engineering relative to the Pine Point project.

Mr.Willett continued: "Our progress toward finalizing financing commitmentsand commencing construction at Pine Point has been steady. In additionto the recent engagement of such firms as AECOM and AMC MiningConsultants, we are also ramping up our internal technical staff. Wehave Tamerlane technical personnel working at the site with ourconsultants on these detailed engineering projects. In addition, ourcorporate liaison officer, Randy Lewis, who is permanently located atour Hay River office, is working to identify local sources of labour,contracting services and material supply for construction."
