RE: RE: Tuktu's location......
RE: RE: Tuktu's location......Drilling news is most likely factored into the present sp.
Also there is very little volume indicaticating that the big
$ is not interest at the present.
The Tuk in my opinion is;
a sleeper until such time as enough high grade ore can
be identified to warrant the cost of a stand alone operation
for a life span of at least 20 years +. A lot of this to happen
will depend on what's on Inuit land mineral wize and how
they want to participtate. Wheather to go with a joint partner-
ship on the mining and the building of the transportation
system; be it an all weater road or mini rail road, for 70 -80
km; may-be more because of the obstacles such as lakes
and hills along the route to the tide water. Then there is the
possibility of the pipeline to the sea; but I doubt it.
I believe that the Inuit subsurface will not be touched for at
at least another generation or at such a time when they are
on par with their southern counterparts to take advantages
of opportunities in the mining sector both as operators and
owners. Presently Nunavut Arctic College is training journey
men apprentices. Each graduate is eagerly snapped up by
Anigo Eagle of Medowbank Gold mines, (present work force
of 300 men and women). Women make better truck drivers
then men since they have a more gentile touch then the men
and thus much lower maintence down time.
Anigo's 2nd gold project at Rankin Inlet is presently also just
about ready to start miningand future employees are presently
being upgraded by the Rankin trade school as we speak. I
could ramble on & on but you guys get the picture. it's far in the
future before the Tuk will be developed if ever. Should know
more after this summer's drilling at the Tuk.
Have a good week end.
