RE: transporting iron ore:     given that this is an open forum, and opinions and ideas are being freely exchanged with minimum fear of ridicule,
may i suggest one of the oldest and least disruptive (environmentally) methods of transportation. tramlines have long been
used in the most difficult of terrain.i worked at the Cassiar asbestos mine in the 1960's. and the tramlines worked
fine up to -40 temperatures.Cassiar is located in the north, east part of B.C. the towers were dismantled last year.
just throwing this out there .
