yes,gravity and weight from the ore carts provided the force to run the tramline,and in fact the instalation of a turbine
at the top of the Cassiar mountain helped supply electricity to the project. how this system would work on flatter
land would of course require an independent source of generators to move the cable and carts. IT still could be cheaper
than building roads that can handle a fleet of trucks.
thanks for your interesting post regarding the old keno hills mine zedman4, it has of course, resumed production
and is a very profitable mine once more. (AXR) symbol.
