RE: RE: RE: RE: Magnificent News..Plant Design ComResearch and development hardly ever stops with any leading edge technology business.
It is a continous process before, during and after production begins.
This is a second generation biofuel refinery which is definitely the way to go.
Food based biofuel refineries have become too expensive, as prices of feedstocks such as corn go through the roof.
At some point, a decision is made to conduct a preliminary engineering and design model to assess scale , process and construction costs .
Lignol has just finished this process and the results are very favorable.
In essence, they have a first estimate of construction costs, as well as output levels, and a decent estimate of operating costs.
It does not appear as though there were any major bottlenecks or insurmountable hurdles.
A final engineering and design study will have to be done, but that probably wont happen until Lignol has its financings in place.
I guess what I am saying is that , with this positive study, Lignol can now seek out its investment partners in the knowledge that they not only have a process which works but which will produce desirable economic returns at a reasonable capital costs.
They havent stopped their R & D and they probably never will as long as they foresee patentable outcomes.
As an be seen in a previous post on thebiofuel industry, it is rapidly growing as a green alternative to fossil fuels not only in North America but around the world.
Its a good place to be.
