Gastem has a well (Sheckell's No.1) located in Otsego Town. However, I don't think the company was planning any further exploration because the shale may not be deep enough to comply with the anticipated drilling regulations.

Gastem's other major well (Ross No.1), is located in the town of Maryland, Otsego County. At this time, Maryland is not planning to introduce anti-gas legislation.
