RE: RE: RE: Believe it
Hi jasons let me say to you that in the 70's I participated in the Nuclear Bomb protests and at that time I was sure anything nuclear was terrible however for me to protest I had to know as much as I could about these nuclear reactors they were building. I researched books (thats what we had back then) available at the University library and went to lectures on nuclear of the future concepts of which some are actually employed in today's reactors. I discovered radiation is naturally occurring in our environment, it exists in the rocks & the ground everywhere usually in such small amounts that it is of no concern so for you to make the statement "no amount of radiation is good for you" tells me you haven't done any research at all. Please don't take this in offense but you are typical of too many people who have made rash conclusions as I once did on absurd fears and yes I would have no problem with a reactor in my back yard. I would prefer nuclear over coal or oil generators as I strongly believe they should ban them as new builds and slowly phase all the existing ones out.
I would almost bet you didn't even look at the web site I offered to you on the toxins in solar panels which was to simply show you all energy forms have dangers in them even hydro creates problems no single form of energy is better then another yet. We can only hope that as research evolves mankind will leave less of an impact on our planet in our need for energy. The point that I think we all agree on here is we must greatly reduce releasing carbon into our atmosphere as the effects are now being felt in the extreme weather worldwide.
