RE: Best BuyI must have bought a different kind of Playbook, because my experience has been nothing short of excellent with it.
I have had it for almost a week now, and the user experience has been great. The size, feel, screen layout, resolution, speaker quality, processing speed, flash compatibility, etc. etc. have all culminated into the best tablet out there.
I have tried a few other brands, including Apple, and I have had the best experience with the Playbook.
So what if there aren't 500 fart applications. I don't care about 99.9999% of the apps out there. I'm not some loser who ranks my self worth through the collection of useless applications that have no place in my life.
What the Playbook offers is the FULL INTERNET, just like on your computer, but on a nicely sized device that fits into your pocket.
And contrary to many reviewers...Facebook does come fully loaded on the device, so does hotmail, gmail, yahoo mail.
To gain access to my work email, I do have to tether to my Bold...big deal, they are never more than 5 meters away from each other anyway and it literally takes a few seconds to connect the devices.
I'm calling BS on the claim that 4 out of 5 people returned them at Best Buy...the Playbook is rock solid.
Personally, I know about a dozen people who bought Playbooks this past week and all I've heard are rave reviews from real world use.
What people also need to realize is that corporate customers do not buy their equipment from pimply faced teenagers at Best Buy or Walmart. There are thousands upon thousands of Playbooks being deployed in large corporations direct from RIM.
Go out and do yourselves a favour...if you haven't test driven a Playbook...go do it, you will be surprised.
