Great Panther Mining Limited is a Canada-based precious metals producer focused on the operation of the Tucano Gold Mine in Brazil. The Company controls a land package covering nearly 200,000 hectares in the prospective Vila Nova Greenstone belt. The Company has three wholly owned mining operations including the Tucano gold mine, which produces gold dore and is located in Amapa State in northern Brazil. In Mexico, Great Panther operates the Topia mine in the state of Durango, which produces concentrates containing silver, gold, lead and zinc, and the Guanajuato Mine Complex (the GMC) in the state of Guanajuato. The GMC comprises the Guanajuato mine, the San Ignacio mine, and the Cata processing plant, which produces silver and gold concentrates. The Company also wholly owns the Coricancha Mine Complex, a gold-silver-copper-lead-zinc mine and processing facility in the central Andes of Peru. It has a portfolio of exploration projects: El Horcon property, Santa Rosa, and Plomo property.

I got a quick turn-around from IR today

Hello Dana,

We have not released any negative news nor do we have any coming. So far this year, it’s all been good news. Our first quarter production numbers announced on April 14 were strong and set some new records (https://www.greatpanther.com/s/NewsReleases.asp). We also received our CSR Certificate from the Mexican government, reported our first ever full year of profitability (2010), eliminated all long term debt, increased our resources at the Topia Mine, extended mineralization at the Guanajuato Mine Complex, secured a listing on the NYSE Amex, and expanded the deposit at our new discovery, San Ignacio. In the next few weeks, we will announce more drill results from San Ignacio and follow it up with a compliant resource estimate. Our earnings will be available in June.

I won’t try to predict if silver price is going to correct 25-35% from here or if the seasonal ‘sell in May and go away’ will take effect, but either of these on their own will drive all equities lower over the short term. We remain focused on growing production and resources over the long term and have a great track record to back it up. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
