Share Price and Drilling Results

Share Price and Drilling ResultsNot only on this board but also on the bulletin boards of other companies I follow do I read the comment that drilling results if they are good will send the SP heading north. This isn't true. The share price is a reflection of what investors expect to happen in the future and in this case I think the price shows an expectation of good grades from the drilling. The grades would need to be really exceptional to send the price back towards 50 cents. The other thing that happens is that if a price starts to rise for new good reason then the investors tend to 'join the party' in case someone 'knows something'. Usually after a while the price settles down and this is what has happened to CMA recently. The other thing to remember is that some investors use share trading to create income rather than long term capital gain so they will trade in and out of a stock hoping to choose the right moment for their transaction. I don't consider this 'weak hands' I think it's a perfectly legitimate mathod of trading, risky sometimes but still legitimate.

When the results are released of the recent drilling I'll not be surprised to see the SP fall, it could be a good time to buy of course. More often than not prices do fall after results and I see no reason for the CMA situation to be any different.

I've been a shareholder for nearly 4 years now and remain confident about the future for CMA. Like everything else in life there are ups and downs when owning stock in an exploration company but the events of the last 9 months or so plus the prices of the various precious metals do give me hope for the future.
