Exposure of different voices for and against the mining project San Jorge in the whole of committees of the Chamber of deputies will now end.

Since February, the project that aims to extract gold and copper in Uspallata is discussed and studied by the legislators, agencies, public and private institutions, who have expressed their positions on the initiative.

However, work for members newly begins as heard once all positions must decide if they are approved or not the Declaration of environmental impact. And to conclude the analysis is expected next week legislators made a visit to mining ventures with similar characteristics to St. George. So they could move, San Juan, both Chile to get to know "in situ" how the mining.

In San Juan is expected to visit the Veladero mine, while in the neighbouring country still would not be defined destination.

The Member of the dissident PJ, Roberto Blanco explained that the aim of the visits will be "see how to work in the workplace and have a close experience".

Another proposal that will analyse today in parliamentary work is the initiative of the Democrat Aldo Vinci make a visit to Uspallata, where you intend to install the project San Jorge.

Positions

Voices for and against the mining project were heard in the House of the laws since the beginning of the debate.

So far some legislators keep Hermeticism with regard to their respective positions. However, the Deputy Nestor Piedrafita (Ari) expressed its rejection of the project, already "that the determination of the people is that they do not want the mining in the province", also pointed out that "they are here to use polluting substances, in a manner that violates the Act 7722".

For its part, the owner of the House, George Tanus, as well as the Deputy Roberto Blanco they preferred not to advance his position, although they expressed that they are "more in favour than against".

It remains to be seen what happens in the next few days, taking into account that will not have been achieved unanimity in the exhibitions, emerge two offices, one in favour and one against the Declaration of environmental Iimpacto, which will be treated by no less than twenty days in the enclosure.
