I know Bob had a bunch of land in Texas that was acquired just before the bottom fell out of the gas market, so that was a case of bad timing. OTOH didn't Humbold Capital also hold shares in a Texas company that has done well - I can't quite recall.
Also the DZR website mentions the proximity of their SK land to some high value land sales. I was hoping this meant someone has been kicking the tires and looking at buying or JVing some of this land. If DZR and it's sisters are low on cash, and it seems they are, the right deal with a cash rich partner might fix things for a while. JV for cash, and after that you have to start delivering drill holes with oil for cash flow. Oil prices are great right now provided you can find some and bring it to the surface without all kinds of disasters in the production phase.
