PRIMERA ENERGY RESOURCES LTD. (TSX-V:PTT) ANNOUNCES CORPORATE UPDATE

Primera Energy Resources Ltd. has provided the following corporate update.

TheMinistry of Energy and Energy Affairs in Trinidad has approved theFirecrown 1 ST1 well as an obligation well under the exploration andproduction licence. As such, the corporation has now fulfilled all thework obligations as under the licence.

Mobilization of a workoverrig was commenced on May 9, 2011. Once the rig and all ancillary testingequipment are fully mobilized to the well location, well testing andcompletion will commence. Based on open hole wireline and mud logs, aswell as cutting samples, the well encountered hydrocarbon-bearingsandstones with oil shows in the secondary Herrera zone from a measureddepth of approximately 6,600 feet to approximately 7,220 feet. In theprimary Herrera zone, the well encountered hydrocarbon-bearingsandstones from a measured depth of approximately 8,150 feet toapproximately 8,275 feet. A total of four intervals will be tested inthis well.
