It is producing ethanol mostly from corn , much like any other first generation biorefinery.
It has seen the light of how expensive corn-based ethanol is, and is now  beginning the migration to cellulosic refining.
Greenfield rec'd $4 million from the Ontario Govt  in 2010 to assist it to develop its first cellulosic pilot refinery.

GreenField’s tnew venture has received federal and state backing and after a series of trials the company has developed ethanol processes for a variety of biomass feedstocks including bagasse, energy crops and woody biomass.

Lignol in my opinion is way ahead of the pact.
It has had a cellulosic  demonstration plant since 2008 and is now very advanced in its high purity lignin chemicals.

Perhaps, we shall see something emerge from these conferences that Lignol is attending...
