RE: RE: SHAFT

RE: RE: SHAFTI'M goingto try and shed some light on just how important it is that EZ get back up to full hoisting speed and therefore just how important the news release of improvements in this regard truly are.obviously the ability to skip more tons is the first and primary benefit-but there are many others as well.when you maximize your skipping speed you can allow for failures -things going wrong in the mine and still have the ability to catch up with production-essentially unaffected.skipping speed allows you to carry out effective maintenance so that you have a reliable hoisting system-it buys you time-if for example you know you're going to shut down the crusher for a day or two or a week for that matter you can increase skipping time prior to the shutdown during day shift and nite shift and stock pile-exceed production to allow for this critical component down time or you can do this same scenerio after you have returned to full operation.it gives you much greater flexbility-both in operations  from a production point of view as well as from a maintenance perspective.its a win win situation and any mine looking for reliability and a long term life must have this circumstance.-greater hoisting speed =more production, more maintenance, more reliability, more flexibilty, more consistency. how do i know?-ITS MY JOB!
