INT revenues - REPOST
I'm back home, here we go:
The reasons why investors are willing to throw $48 million at INT will become clear after reading this.
A lot of you are wondering how ORTSBO will generate revenues.
FIRST, ORTSBO should remain FREE as FACEBOOK did, this is key. It will attract a lot of people to using INT’s translation platform.
Some of you say that once the users get connected to their Facebook account (or MSN, Twitter, etc…) the user will only see the advertisement from the Facebook website. Not necessarily true! Depends how INT will set this up.
What INT needs to do: the user needs to come to ORTSBO.COM (so they visit INT website first, we flash ads at our visitors) to connect to Facebook, once the user has connected to his Facebook account, INT should keep a space at the top or bottom of the screen to advertise for INT’s clients and to remind them that they are using ORTSBO’s translation platform while on Facebook.
As long as users use the ORTSBO translation platform that ad banner should be there. That’s how we would generate revenues, same as Facebook. Same thing with the iPhone app, we insert our customers ads while using our app (this should be free as well, we need to get our user numbers up fast to corner the market).
Most of Facebook’s revenues come from advertising, no fees are charged to the people using the site, this is very important. Companies will pay big $$$ to advertise to a large captive public.
I THINK THAT THE PITCH MADE TO THE INVESTORS WAS SOMETHING ALONG THIS LINE. WHY ELSE WOULD THEY GIVE INT $48 MILLIONS. THEY EXPECT HUGE RETURNS FROM THIS INVESTMENT… THINK ABOUT IT. I’M SLEEPING WELL, I’LL HOLD FOR SIX MONTHS AND REASSESS AT THAT POINT.
Also, the slow response time on the server is due to the success of the product itself. David mentioned that they are moving to Microsoft Azure, it will be operational for the Live & Global on May 20.
Good luck to everyone. Do your own DD. JMO.
