Oncolytics Biotech Inc T.ONC

Alternate Symbol(s):  ONCY

Oncolytics Biotech Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company. The Company is focused on developing pelareorep, an intravenously delivered immunotherapeutic agent that activates the innate and adaptive immune systems and weakens tumor defense mechanisms. This compound induces anti-cancer immune responses and promotes an inflamed tumor phenotype turning cold tumors hot through innate and adaptive immune responses to treat a variety of cancers. This improves the ability of the immune system to fight cancer, making tumors more susceptible to a broad range of oncology treatments. The Company’s primary focus is to advance its programs in hormone receptor-positive / human epidermal growth factor 2- negative (HR+/HER2-) metastatic breast cancer and advanced/metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma to registration-enabling clinical studies. In addition, it is exploring opportunities for registrational programs in other gastrointestinal cancers through its GOBLET platform study.

RE: RE: Nice move higher

RE: RE: Nice move higherThere have been a few negative remarks about Pfizer so I thought I'd throw this in for comment. I recall reading a post not too long ago that Pfizer had withdrawn from an agreement with ONC quite a while back during their animal trials. I looked it up on ONC's website and there was a news release to that effect but it didn't give much of an explanation. Another poster stated that the reason was due to Pfizer ceasing their involvement in the veterinary field. If that was the case then I don't think their withdrawal was because of a lack of confidence in ONC although ONC's share price took quite a dive at the time and It has never reached those heights since. If that's the case then there should not be any reason to believe that Pfizer would not be a possible contender for some type of partnership etc.
