Who knows

Who knowsEvery stock is different.

About 8 trading days ago, I wanted in to Evergreen that had retraced back to 27 cents.  I thought the negativity in the Venture was going to get worse and worse, so thought I would wait on it. The market did get worse, but Evergreen surprised me and recovered to 35, and even now, it is at .31.

So who the heck knows.

One of the things we do all the time as retail investors (especially retail investors who come to these boards and try to get the absolute best price) is try so hard to get the bottom, or the top for that matter.

Most of the time, it's not so easy to figure out.  Who knows is my point.  Is this Revett minerals that just keeeps going lower and lower and surrpises in its weakness?  Or is it Evergreen that actually went 25% higher even with the VEnture losing another 7% on the index?

I don't have the answer.

One day (and it sure the heck wasn't today) you will look at the price action in the first half hour of the Venture and see quickly that people are buying stocks again.

I don't know what that day is.  I don't feel like it is soon, but who knows?

The Australian index (very much trades like ours) is up healthy tonight, so who knows?
