Mint Technology signs payroll service contract with Drake and Scull

TORONTO — Mint Technology Corp. (TSXV:MIT) has signed a contract with engineering firm Drake and Scull International PJSC under which it will handle prepaid payroll cards for more than 3,500 employees.
Financial details were not disclosed in the company's announcement Monday.
Drake and Scull has projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with upcoming projects in Oman, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
"D&S is a highly respected, integrated mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractor and this payroll card contract win provides Mint and D&S with a framework to support their businesses throughout the region from our mutual bases in UAE," Mint said in a release.
"We look forward to growing with D&S, particularly in complementary geographies in which both companies operate throughout the Gulf," said Middle East CEO Nabil Bader.
Toronto-based Mint, which provides prepaid financial products and services worldwide, said it prepaid card serves as an alternative to typical paycheques, especially for workers who don't have bank or credit card accounts.
