Nothing surprises me on these venture stocks when a merger goes down...my guess is:
- You have people who were short term looking for westfire to get bought out at a premium that are either dumping the stock because it no longer looks like a short term idea or they can't handle the emotional drift down without any long term conviction.
- It's now a deal stock and people are playing the arbitrage. Kind of stupid since the free float on orion is so small but some people are desperate. This will distort the price for as long as it goes on.
imo this is one you buy and tuck away for a couple years. not many companies in the resources space with things lined up like this one.
