Comedic relief

It's been a tough week for all of us who are long Cline Mining. Whether you think you have duped, swindled or mislead by management, it is what it is. So in the interest of adding some comic levity to the situation I am posting the following little tidbit about Trinidad Colorado for your enjoyment.
"Former Sex Change Capital of the World"

Stanley BiberTrinidad has been dubbed the "Sex Change Capital of the World",because a local doctor had an international reputation for performing sex reassignment surgery. In the 1960s, Dr. Stanley Biber,a veteran surgeon returning from Korea, decided to move to Trinidadbecause he had heard that the town needed a surgeon. In 1969 a localsocial worker asked him if he would perform the surgery for her, whichhe learned by consulting diagrams and a New York surgeon. Biber attaineda reputation as a good surgeon at a time when very few doctorsperformed the operations. At his peak, Biber was performing roughly foursex change operations a day, and the term "taking a trip to Trinidad"became a euphemism for some seeking the procedures he offered. Hissurgical practice was taken over in 2003 by Marci Bowers.
Dr. Marci Bowers brought a lot of media attention to the hospital(and the town of Trinidad) by speaking openly on television, inmagazines, and newspaper articles about her practice and the surgicalprocedure. This attention was often considered a nuisance by hospitalstaff trying to conduct day to day operations in amidst the mediafrenzy. During the fall of 2010, after a lengthy negotiation processbetween Dr. Bowers and The Mt. San Rafael Hospital Board, regardingmedia access policies, Dr. Bowers decided to move her practice toCalifornia, and left Trinidad in December 2010.
Biber was featured in an episode of South Park where elementary school teacher Mr. Garrison undergoes a sex change operation.
