RE: Shiff

RE: ShiffI think NIA is a pump and dump scheme. That said, they actually do pick some good Jr. Miners. Several of the ones I own on my own accord have been picked by them and have performed well months later. This Schiff/NIA fiasco leads me to believe I should research MGP a bit and perhaps buy up some shares after the NIA pump fades away as it always does. Schiff obviously doesn't know the Jr. miner sector all that well. A quick look on Canadian insider shows Pinetree Capital buying millions of share, so it does have some institutional support. I think MGP is the unfortunate victim in a long running squabble between NIA and Schiff. NIA's Jonathan Lebed has produced some youtube schiff bashing sessions in the past.

Although NIA is run by some dubious characters who I would never trust, I think Schiff was way out of line with regards to MGP. Jr. miners/explorers obviously aren't his thing; probably because he can't put his clients on them and earn a commision. There are plenty of reputable investors that do own Jr. miners. Robert McEwen and Eric Sprott come to mind.
