RE: Making Ethanol Profittable..."From such a failed business model comes opportunity for Lignol.
This could be by way of JV ( as with PEIC ), or thru the acquisition of a operating refinery that can be converted to Lignol's model or thru a RTO.
The obvious path is a JV with Novozyme which would combine the enzymatic processes of Novo with the pre-treatment process of Lignol along with its lignin patents.
Sunopta is another possibility, as they provide turn-key refineries."
TheRock07, I like Novozymes but aren't they assisting in the development in order to supply the enzymes used in the process, or can they also be alligned as JV partners and produce both ethanol and HP-L Lignin?
The other possibility, Sunopta sold their biofuels processing division to Mascoma back in Sept. 1, 2010. Here's the link to that NR: https://www.sunoptabioprocess.com/downloads/2010-09-01.pdf
Mascoma is a privately held, non-listed company. and uses a process to produce ethanol without costly enzymes. Now maybe that would be a good mix with LEC?;
