RE: NEWS...Performance Results...

RE: NEWS...Performance Results...This technology continues to impress me. I speak from experience when I say that bilge water can be some of the rudest stuff going and it bodes well to see a successful  full scale test of the 10000 barrel a day unit in this application.

They have essentially proven that they can handle bilge water pumped to an on shore facility and they are discussing testing for installation right on board ships. That would be well worth the effort as off shore bilge dumping is a real issue. By law ships are supposed to have onboard systems to handle bilge water. Many ships have problems with that equipment to the point that they choose to bypass it or let it run even if its not doing the proper job and take their chances on getting caught. A google search will show that happening over and over with non working equipment being blamed for the problem.
In my limited experience I have seen systems that need pre filters that clog constantly with grit glued  together with grease and oil. I have also encountered  detergent in the bilge rendering a skimmer using an oleophilc material virtually useless.
Given the volumes of bilge water that a ship produces it would not take a very big H2Omaxx to take care of it. Still, testing will be needed to evaluate how the system handles the movement of a ship deck.
Meanwhile, back at the harbour, an already proven H2Omaxx on shore can be merrily doing what it does best by dealing with bilge pumped to terra firma.
There is nothing in the press release that takes away from the other applications and, in fact, this latest successful test only adds to the technology's credibility IMHO.
