https://www.coromining.com/s/NewsReleases.asp?ReportID=454932&_Type=News-Releases&_Title=Coro-Makes-US4-Million-Payment-To-Lumina-For-San-Jorge

May 3rd, 2011

Alan Stephens, President and CEO commented "This payment to Luminademonstrates our continued confidence in the San Jorge project and theoutcome of the Environmental Impact Study ratification process. Weunderstand that the review of the project by various committees of theLower Chamber of the Provincial Legislature of Mendoza is nearing itsend and that, once complete, the Chamber would be in a position to voteon the ratification. The timing of this vote may be affected by theelections to the Legislature, which take place in October 2011. As partof our commitment to the sustainable development of the project area, wehave established a foundation to assist in the socioeconomicdevelopment of the Uspallata community, with emphasis on creation of newemployment opportunities, as well as promoting micro businesses tobecome involved in developing the agricultural and eco-tourist potentialof the large ranch on which the project is located."

My thoughts: I highly doubt any politician would try to touch this issue in an election year, but it would be more politically advantageous to wait until the election is over. Hence Coro's management leaving open that possibility. Yes it may happen before but I don't think it is likely.
