RE: oddity in todays releaseI haven't actually done the calculations or know what price they had copper at when they did the calculations but it sounds pretty close to me.
465,500,000 x (2000lbs/tonne)
= 931,000,000,000 lbs copper x 0.003 (mineral grading i.e. 0.3%)
= 2,793,000,000
If they used a $1/lb price for copper then the resource is worth roughly 2.8 billion dollars.
That only includes the price of copper and not the other metals. Hope this is helpful and my calculations are correct.
