RE: RE: Check the market ...stupid marketOne thing you will have to get used to as a member of the big boys club is the extent to which macroeconomic factors and other global issues contribute to play more of a role in sp volatility. Whilst WIN was sitting in the junior league it was relatively immune from them given the more insular nature of the Canadian markets.
So my view is that what happened today is that prices were marked down from the get go because of the dire economic news. Those Canadian short term holders who expected a pop because of the new listing started dumping and this fuelled more of the same as the day progressed.
Good riddance I say as their removal from the scene will assist in setting a more stable floor and we will continue as before, eventually. Short term I do not think we should be too optimistic as there is a superabundance of risk aversity prevailing at the moment, notwithstanding what will likely be a good report next week.
I will be topping up soon but not necessarily tomorrow, or the next day.......
