RE: joe33Although a 25,000 bopd might be quiet a number, but i could be one of the reasons to stop the drilling as they expect a good flow enough for the first well instead of risking all.
Being and oil and gas insurance underwriter and heavily involved and leading oil company programs in Iraq, I would not be surprised that this is the reason. Most of the E&P have suffered some sort of problems at this depth that can be high risk. Also, looking at most well plans and comments from survey companies they all say pressure and H2S is there. There is no Dusters in Kurdistan. The structure of that mountain where vast was drilling says it all. It is a Fault by it self..... only a bit deep. What is under that cap....... only God (Allah) knows and NIKO of course.
