Well either...those buying 89 million shares since the start of 2011 are correct, or those who sold were correct. Should find out eventually. For now, I'm assuming that the sellers were impatient and that the buyers were loading up for better reasons.
But macro economic events could have influenced sellers. Maybe a slowdown is anticipated. This would effect both revenues and the signing of independent merchants to a loyalty program. Auto sales in the US slumped in May.
Also there are those who wish to turn a fast buck on the penny movements. Hard to say how much of that 89 million relate to these people.
It's difficult to predict the price movement of this stock. Charts only illustrate what happened in the past.
