RE: RE: MMI Question
RE: RE: MMI Questiondeserts sent Mark a copy of the Oct pdf when it came out and asked for his opinion . At the time his only comment was that he could not comment unless he was assured samples had been collected properly .
Emailed him again last week and asked " can any thing be said about the predictive value of MMI results when they are say over 100 or is it country specific ? "
" Regardless of the country a response ratio greater than 100 should be considered as highly significant . This pre-supposes that the analysis is reproducible . A response ratio is calculated the same way wherever the survey is undertaken an a 100RR simply means 100 times background . "
My take is that it is quite simple to drill once you have MMI RR . An angled hole through the target will get a hit . This could eliminate exploration drilling but the cost is 38.50 / test . To me it makes a lot of sense but some times being in the field things are different . Although in this case it highlights a lot high grade spots and leaves the promise there is some thing there before you even start . Can you imagine how long it would take to search out those targets with a drilling grid plan starting at the top ?
If you did not run out of $ first .
