Walleye or Pickerel
Walleye or PickerelI know I am off subject but it is the summer,no I mean late spring doldrums and with no news from management I thought well what the heck.All my friends here near Rice Lake Ontario where I live call their and my favourite fish Pickerel while the Americans call it Walleye. For once the Americans are right. Pickerel is a fish in the pike family which I nor any of them have ever seen.This I learned from a Ministry of Nateral Resourses course at Sir Sanford Fleming.Anyway like they say you are never too old to learn although it would seems most of my friends are since their father and grandfather called them Pickerel in must be right in their mind .Cheers and good fishing
