Aurelian in Correa's Ecuador

Aurelian in Correa's EcuadorI don't know how many of you are familiar with Aurelian Resources.

Aurelian Resources was a complete mother of a strike. Well over ten million ounces of gold in stable, mining-friendly Ecuador.

Bit nervous about the Presidential run-off, but it looked fairly certain that the rightist would prevail. Besides which, the leftist, Correa, had studied in America. He wasn't a total scuzzbucket like Chavez. And he wasn't going to win.

Except he did squeak home.

But it was all fine. He gave lots of assurances, and the talking heads all nodded furiously and said "Let's get real - he's not going to do anything silly".

Except he starts doing this. And then he starts doing that.

And the rest is history:

I'm always on the look-out for the next emerging silver growth play. If the rightist had won in Peru I'd be all over Tinka. Not going to touch it with a bargepole now.

Nothing writ in stone that Tinka's story will go the way of Aurelian's. I wish those of you who are long and strong the best of British.

I know what it's like to feel incapable of tearing oneself away from a sweet play.

I'll stick with Silvermex and Arian and Great Panther and the other Mexicans - until a leftist gets a sniff up there too.
