RE: organizing shorting

RE: organizing shortingThere should be zero surprise that there is a massive amount of shorting going on. There is as many shares being sold short as being sold long. That is how traders make their money.

There is also no doubt in my mind that the Hedge Funds who conduct 95% of the trading are in collusion with one another and there computer algorithms are all set with knowledge as to how the other Hedge Funds will trade. It is all about sucking then blowing.....and the guy who ends up picking up the peices are the retail Moms and Pops like the folks posting here.

Any doubt that the trading is all about going long...then going short need only look at the following chart that has all the brokerage house positions since the positive news release on May 31 till the close today. It is quite amazing that over 18 million shares were transferred on the TSX. (Actually there was over 32 million shares traded last week alone including shares traded on the ATS system......see https://fragmentation.fidessa.com/fragulator/
But even looking at the 18 million shares traded on the TSX the largest Net accumulation of any brokerage was Jitney who was net 640,000 shares on trading over 5 million. Look at the net positions of Buys and Sells and you will see that no one is changing their share positions...they are merely trading the hang out of them and making lots of money.
